Leeanna Peterson is a Family Nurse Practitioner that specializes in Endocrinology. She has completed extensive training under some of the top professionals within the field of Endocrinology in the Phoenix area. She understands how to recognize and treat disturbances within the Endocrine system. She treats a variety of patients with diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and sex hormone disorders. Leeanna is very compassionate and takes the time to listen and address all her patient's concerns. She has been practicing within the field of nursing for over 20 years. Her background includes emergency medicine and critical care nursing. She obtained her Master's of Science in the Nurse Practitioner role through the University of South Alabama, and graduated May of 2016. Her Nurse Practitioner course was an accelerated dual role, Family and Adult Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program with focus in Emergency Medicine. She completed over 1100 clinical hours of training within the settings of endocrinology, cardiology, family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, women's health, critical care and emergency medicine.  

 Christine has worked in with a wide variety of patients, with a primary focus in healthy and sustainable weight loss, preventing diabetes, and diabetes management. 

Her passion lies in helping people learn about how to incorporate proper nutrition into their individual lifestyle and learn healthy habits along the way. 

Her approach to nutrition involves viewing a person as a whole and addressing diet from every angle to find the best individual approach. 

Christine graduated from San Diego State University with her Bachelors of Science in Foods & Nutrition and her Masters of Science in Nutrition & Wellness from Benedictine University. Christine is also a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.
